The Ancient City takes visitors on a fascinating journey through the diverse history, cultures, religions, arts and customs of the Thai people from ancient times until the modern day.

    The Ancient City covers over 200 acres set out in the shape of Thailand and has been dubbed “the world’s largest outdoor museum”, with the replicas of famous monuments laid out in their corresponding locations within the country. Open daily from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

  • Megabangna

    Country Club at Eastin Thana City Golf Resort, Bangkok

    As one of the largest shopping malls in Thailand Megabangna really does have something for everyone and provides a true “everything under one roof” concept for the whole family, with over 400 shops and restaurants and parking for 8,000 cars.

    Located half way between Suvarnabhumi International Airport and the centre of Bangkok, Mega Bangna offers 35,0000 square metres of shopping and dining heaven and is home to a massive IKEA store, which attracts a huge crowd of “Do It Yourselfers”. For those without their own transportation, a shuttle connecting Udomsuk BTS Station and the mall is available. Open daily from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.

  • Bangplee Floating Market

    Bangplee floating market is the only old market in Samrong to have survived both fires and new developments, and still features the same classic architectural style it had when it was constructed 150 years ago. The 500-metres wooden walkway stretching along the river handles thousands of tourists every day, who throng the busy stalls rooting through the many antiquities and other fascinating items for sale. The market is located near Bangplee Yai Nai temple, so there are many stalls selling goods for monks and temples but the market is also known as a foodies’ heaven with all kinds of delicious local cuisine and tempting snacks to be had.

    CentralPlaza Bangna, (also known as Central City Bangna) is a shopping centre on the Bang Na–Trat Road located in Bang Na District, near Suvarnabhumi Airport. Part of the ubiquitous Central Group CentralPlaza Bangna is a shoppers’ paradise with six storeys of outlets including a large Central department store, a Major Cineplex cinema, the Pororo AquaPark water park and a high-tech games centre. Open from 10.30 a.m. – 9 p.m. (10a.m. – 10 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays)

  • Suan Luang Rama IX Park

    Covering 200 acres the glorious Suan Luang Rama IX Public Park was a gift to His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of his 5th Cycle Birthday Anniversary in 1987. For those who would like to visit as a group and request the services of an official guide, kindly contact the office of the Suan Luang Rama IX Foundation at the garden’s office.

    The park’s international garden showcases many examples of beautiful flora from the 4 corners of the globe including Chinese and Japanese gardens representing the East, Spanish, English, French and Italian Gardens representing the West and a special zone for the United States of America featuring a Geodesic dome used for planting drought-resistant plants such as cacti.

    A wide variety of energetic and not so energetic activities can be enjoyed in the park including walk and run rallies, aerobics, swordplay, Tai kek, and Yoga. In addition, there is an exercise facility containing exercise equipment for both children and adults. One “can’t miss” event held in the park is the annual Suan Luang Rama IX Flower Festival which takes place in early December. Open daily from 5 a.m. – 7 p.m. (an admission fee applies between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.)
